The GlenAllachie Distillery was founded in 1967, in the Aberlour region of Speyside. Owned and operated for many years by Chivas Brothers and used primarily in Blended Scotch Whisky. In 2017 the legendary Billy Walker and his business partners acquired the Distillery and set about transforming the profile and portfolio to showcase the stocks as quality Single Malt Whisky, and boy have they succeeded. Two World's Best Single Malt wins at the World Whisky Awards for their GlenAllachie 10 Years Old Cask Strength in 2021, and their recent award for their 12 Years Old Single Malt at the 2025 Awards demonstrate that GlenAllachie are producing seriously good whisky.
