This sets a new bar for heritage oak-matured Scotch. Raasay’s spirit is super fruity and lush (thanks to some of the longest ferments in Scotland), so we wanted a whisky that highlighted that for the distillery’s Club debut. Craig tasted through the many cask types in the bondstore, and while the overall quality was great, this single heritage Chinkapin white oak cask stood head and shoulders above the rest. To get as close to that straight-from-the-bondstore feeling as possible, we’ve bottled it pure and straight from the cask, non-chill filtered and with no added colour, at cask strength of 60.3% ABV. Only 256 bottles.
