Captured at 100 Proof – that’s a solid 50.0% ABV – without added colour, this is legit. The Lynchburg legends have taken a mash bill of 70% rye, 18% corn and 12% malted barley and given it JD’s famous charcoal mellowing to add that patented smoothness, before ageing in new, handmade American white oak barrels. Then, in a further nod to their origins, they’ve added classic collector’s packaging with aspects of the Tennessee whiskey’s original 1895 design.
