The Kanosuke Single Malt Japanese Whisky First Release 2021 marks a significant milestone for the Kanosuke Distillery, showcasing their inaugural single malt expression. Crafted with unpeated malt and distilled between 2017 and 2018, this whisky embodies the distillery’s core concept of "mellow land, mellow whisky". Aged for three years in a carefully selected combination of oak barrels, including re-charred American white oak ex-“Mellowed Kozuru” aged shochu casks (not surprising considering the shochu background of the distillery founders) this release is the first of its kind. Bottled at cask strength, it features a balanced profile with rich complexity, offering a unique combination of sweetness and depth. The First Release 2021 has high collectability credentials.
