Starward are certainly no strangers to pushing the boundaries, and this Co-Ferment Grape x Malt Australian Spirit is without a doubt the most innovative of all. 
For the first time, freshly crushed Cabernet Sauvignon grape juice and Starward's signature malted barley wash have been combined in equal parts. From there it was co-fermented, distilled, and matured for nearly six years in a mix of fresh and charred Australian red wine barrels. Leading the inspiration for this release was Head Distiller and Blender, Carlie Dyer, whose winemaking roots sparked a lifelong curiosity, one that ultimately led her to ask a bold question: what might happen if two ancient crafts came together? Here is the answer.
