Its stills were created in Scotland’s Speyside region, with the wash still fashioned in the design of Macallan’s and the spirit still created in the likeness of GlenDronach’s. Combined with the finesse and delicacy of Japanese distilling, Yuza is not one to sleep on – you know there’s good craftsmanship when a distillery’s first ever release managed to win a gold medal at San Francisco World Spirits Competition!
This particular whisky is marked by elegance, in a quintessentially Japanese-style maturation of prized Mizunara oak joined with Sherry and American oak. Served up at 46.0% ABV, non-chill filtered and without added colour, this special blended offering is pumping with stewed rhubarb, Jersey caramel, apple turnover and rounded with spice from the Mizunara oak.
